Oakwood is a member-owned private club located near a public elementary school and nestled in a residential suburb of west Mobile. Its facilities are surrounded by beautiful trees and landscape and provide a quiet escape from the hectic pace of City life.
If you are new in the City or have lived here a lifetime, Oakwood is a well-kept “Secret” Oasis waiting for your enjoyment. Memberships are limited to 325 families. Purchase of a Membership Stock is required, plus an Initial Processing Fee. Following these one-time costs to join the Club, the only recurring costs are the Annual Dues, which can be paid either lump sum or on a monthly automatic bank draft system. The Club allows no alcoholic beverages on premises and is highly oriented to family recreational entertainment. Reduced Membership Fees During Open House Events!!!

TENNIS
One of the main recreational attractions offered at Oakwood is Tennis. It is enhanced by the availability of Nine excellently Lighted Soft and Hard Surface Tennis courts. The surfaces are tightly maintained for outstanding play.
Tennis is available to ages from young children to senior adults and provides casual or competitive play for almost all skill levels. We boast of beginners, as well as, league and tournament champions.
Certified US Professional Tennis Registry & US Professional Tennis Association Tennis Pro and Staff available for private or group tennis lessons.
Tennis teams are offered several times during the year for men, women, and mixed for the Bay Area Tennis Association (BATA) league. We also have U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) rated play, which includes doubles and singles play for all participants. Tournaments for Juniors and Adults are sponsored several times during each year.
Our highly competent Tennis Pro is available for clinics, tournaments, and private instruction. A pro shop is also available with a full line of tennis equipment and offering racquet stringing and other racquet maintenance.

SWIMMING AND DIVING
Swimming and Diving are the other major recreational attractions at Oakwood. We sport one of the finest and largest pools available in the City, with two diving boards.
In addition to the refreshing swimming opportunity of Summer time fun, the Club enjoys some of the top winning records for Swim and Dive team competition. Courteous and competent Lifeguards are on duty for safety and assistance, while an excellent coaching staff is available for members of the Swim and/or Dive Teams.
